Best Room on Campus

Some pictures are worth a thousand words, but this one could be worth $250

Show off your residence hall room or on-campus apartment for a chance to win the title of Best Room on Campus and up to $250. We want to see your Bronco pride and sense of style! Check your eligibility below and enter the contest by October 22 for your shot to win.

Students in the following residence halls and apartments are eligible:

  • The Valleys
  • Western Heights
  • Henry Hall
  • Arcadia Flats
  • Western View
  • Stadium Drive Apartments
  • Spindler Hall

What will I win?

In addition to bragging rights, one grand prize winner will receive $250. There will also be 9 additional prizes worth $100 given to the best rooms in the residence halls and apartments.

Contest winners will also have their rooms photographed by a WMU staff photographer for possible inclusion in future marketing publications.

Contest details

The contest runs from October 6 - 22 at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be selected by November 7.

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of WMU judges.

It’s easy! Submit two photo that you feel best captures the essence of your room and show us as much as possible. You can add an optional third photo or short video. 

Apartment residents must have 1 bedroom and 1 common area photo (living room and/or kitchen).

Acceptable file types are: jpg, jpeg, png, gif or pdf. If you want to submit a video to give a 360 degree view of your room, you can submit an mov.

Photos/videos submitted to the contest could be used in print and digital marketing campaigns, including on social media.

Additionally, category winners will have their rooms photographed by a WMU photographer for possible use in future marketing publications. 

2024-25 Best Room Contest Winner

Last semester, we asked Bronco students to show off their style and originality for our Best Room on Campus contest and they delivered! Congratulations to our grand prize winner, Montgomery Bell! Montgomery's sense of style and originality helped make her space the ultimate room on campus.
