The College of Arts and Sciences office of advising at Western Michigan University facilitates student success by creating an on-going partnership between students and advisors. Advisors provide knowledge regarding degree requirements, WMU resources and the value of a liberal arts education.
General office hours
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
2318 Friedmann Hall
Advising is available on a drop-in basis Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:15 to 11 a.m.
If you wish to see a specific advisor for a drop-in, please call ahead to verify availability.
Changes to advising availability:
Through Friday, Oct. 28: Advising will be drop-ins only due to the high volume of student traffic during the spring semester priority registration days. Extended wait times should be expected during this time.
Hours will be:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:15 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
Tuesday from 9:15 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.
There may be times we have to cut off drop-ins earlier than the stated time due to unusually heavy student traffic.
