Research Misconduct
Research misconduct falls into three main categories: falsification, or misrepresentation of results; fabrication, which is reporting on experiments never performed; and plagiarism, which is taking the writings or ideas of another and representing them as one’s own. It also includes other serious deviations from accepted practices.
