IDPE alumni Dr. Margaret Richardson, IDPE Director Dr. Chris Coryn, and their colleagues recently had their paper titled “Development and Evaluation of the Trauma-Informed System Change Instrument: Factorial Validity and Implications for Use” published in the Child & Adolescent Social Work Journal. IDPE students Lindsay Noakes and Maran Subramain received WMU Graduate Student Assessment Grants of $1,000.
IDPE students and faculty had three chapters published in the most recent issue of New Directions for Evaluation. These include IDPE Director Dr. Chris Coryn and IDPE student Kristin Hobson’s chapter titled “Using Nonequivalent Dependent Variables to Reduce Internal Validity Threats in Quasi-Experiments: Rationale, History, and Examples from Practice,” IDPE student Stephanie Evergreen’s chapter titled “Eval + Comm,” and IDPE student Kurt Wilson’s chapter titled “Effectiveness Engineering: Vistas of Opportunity Beyond Merit, Worth, and Significance.” More information
IDPE graduate Dr. Tererai Trent was named her all-time favorite guest by Oprah Winfrey (watch the video). Oprah donated $1.5 million to the village where Tererai grew up to build and support a new school (watch the video). To support the Matau Primary School Project in Zimbabwe, Tererai has designed T-shirts which can be purchased from the Save the Children website. More information
