The Department of English at Western Michigan University offers a Master of Arts, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and a Doctor of Philosophy in English or in Creative Writing. Our vibrant department is home to some 50 graduate students, most of whom are supported by teaching assistantships or other scholarships. In a typical year our graduate students compile a record of publications, productions, presentations, and prizes that testifies to their impressive abilities as writers, scholars, and teachers.
