The Changing Face of Haworth

Meet Dr. Kay Palan, the new dean at the Haworth College Business. As the College’s sixth dean, she is taking on many challenges facing business schools today. Her background as an entrepreneur and business consultant, combined with her experience as a professor of marketing and associate dean, has more than prepared her to lead the College to new heights.

Valuable Partnerships
Students in the Haworth College of Business are exploring career pathways through a number of different programs.  Mentorships, externships and internships are just a few of the opportunities available to help guide them in selecting the major that is the best fit.

Student Showcase
Students earn top honors for the best individual undergraduate research paper at a competition hosted by the International Telecommunications Education and Research Association. Case competitions and hands-on projects are part of the learning equation in the Haworth College of Business.

Donors Make A Difference
Greenleaf Trust believes that the workforce should mirror the community and has worked to boost diversity in financial services professions. The company provides privately funded scholarships to encourage under-represented and minority groups to attend college and study finance and personal financial planning.

Faculty Focus
Communities benefit through services provided by students in service learning classes. Dr. Tim Palmer is the recipient of the Michigan Campus Compact Community Service-Learning Award in recognition for his work in this area.
