Learn about part-time off-campus jobs Tuesday, Aug. 27.

KALAMAZOO—More than 30 off-campus organizations have already registered to participate in Western Michigan University's Part-Time Job Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the Student Recreation Center's indoor tennis courts area.

The job fair is for WMU students seeking part-time employment off campus for the upcoming fall semester. Students may attend for free. Registration is not required.

During the event, attendees will be able to connect with potential off-campus employers, share their resumes and complete employment applications. Participating organizations were apprised that some students do not have transportation, so these students will be looking for jobs nearer to campus or on a MetroTransit bus line.

The Part-Time Job Fair for off-campus employment is being sponsored by WMU's Career and Student Employment Services and the Western Student Association. Attendees should bring ample copies of their class schedule and resume, which should include their WMU email address as well as other contact information. In addition, they should bring a list of two to three references and two to three key skills they can offer employers.

For more information, including a list of participating employers and help creating a resume, visit wmich.edu/career/parttimejobfair. Questions may be directed to WMU's Brenda Case-Parris at brenda-case-parris@wmich.edu or (269) 387-2745.
