KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University will host a Part-Time Job Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the Student Recreation Center on the main campus in Kalamazoo.

Local businesses planning to hire WMU students as part-time staff members this fall semester are encouraged to register to participate. Space is limited to the first 50 organizations registering.

Those interested in participating should note that some students do not have transportation, so they will be seeking jobs nearer to campus or on a MetroTransit bus line.

The Part-Time Job Fair is being sponsored by WMU's Career and Student Employment Services and the Western Student Association. It will draw hundreds of students who will share their resumes, complete employment applications and impress participants with their desire to work.

Representatives from the participating organizations are encouraged to bring job descriptions and other pertinent materials as well as to be prepared to discuss general details about their companies and how to apply for positions.
