Schedule an advising session

Current students

New! Academic Advising at Western Michigan University (WMU) has moved to a functionally centralized advising model for undergraduate students. With this comes a change in the way current students schedule appointments with academic advisors. All current students will now use the Student Success Hub, located in the goWMU portal, to schedule an appointment with their academic advisor. Click on the button below to log in to the Student Success Hub.

  • Come prepared—This may include a program or graduation plan, a list of questions about classes or questions about your Degree Works auditing tool.
  • Unsure about your required classes?
    • Use Degree Works in GoWMU. If you are unable to open your Degree Works you may need to enable a popup blocker. You can also contact the Help Desk, (269) 387-HELP, for further assistance, or
    • Look at your program guides and draft graduation plans.

Note: Advising for Secondary Education has moved to the College of Arts and Sciences; Advising for Interior Design has moved to the College of Fine Arts.

If you are unable to find an open advising appointment slot, please email christine.robinson@wmich.edu to set an appointment that fits your schedule.
