Internships & Study Abroad

Experiential learning is an important part of our programs

Study Abroad Opportunities

Whether you are studying Environmental Studies or Geographic Information Science, experience in a part of the world outside of Michigan is a critical part of a rounded education. SEGS encourages its students to consider how a study abroad program will fit in their schedule and arranges several opportunties each year.  There are also many other programs to be considered that can be found at the WMU Study Abroad website.

Internships

The School of Environment, Geography, and Sustainability at Western Michigan University encourages experiential learning through internships and other applied opportunities. The School works to develop relationships in the community where students may gain a variety of professional experiences.

If you are interested in an internship, contact: Prof. Lucius Hallett.
