Women's basketball team hosts CMU in tourney

KALAMAZOO -- WMU's women's basketball team will host Central Michigan in a Mid-American Conference tournament game Saturday, March 2, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in University Arena.
WMU is seeded fifth in the conference tournament. The winner of Saturday's contest between the Broncos and Central Michigan will advance to play either Miami or Akron in Cleveland on Wednesday, March 6, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Western Michigan closed the regular season on Tuesday night, Feb. 26, with a disappointing 72-58 loss at Eastern Michigan. The Broncos are 11-5 in MAC competition and 15-14 overall going into the conference tournament.
Fans attending the March 2 Bronco men's basketball game, which begins at 2 p.m. in University Arena, can use their ticket from that contest for admission to the women's tournament game at 4:30 p.m.
