It is the mission of Western Wellness to promote and improve the wellness of the campus community by empowering each employee to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors and create a healthy culture thereby improving productivity and reducing health care costs.

Summer Sun Saftey Tips
Registration now open for Women & Weights!
Come strengthen your mind and body in our 5 week strength training workout program for women. This fitness program is geared towards women at the beginner and intermediate fitness level. Small group training will be instructed by a certified personal trainer. This program is held at the Student Recreation Center.

The Kalamazoo Bicycle Club's Bike Camp 2014
Bike Camp is a training and informational program targeted toward bicyclists who desire to improve their biking skills, fitness, and knowledge of the sport in a friendly group environment. Learn how to ride a bike properly, efficiently and safely on public roads. Bike fitting, fitness goals, nutrition and maintenance are all covered. Families, adults new to road cycling, and those renewing their interest in the sport would all benefit from Bike Camp.

WMU would like to recognize and support WMU community members who are registered to participate in one of the Borgess Run for the Health of it 2014 events. If you are registered for the Motivational Mile, Priority Health 5K Walk, Borgess 5K Run, Borgess 10K Run, Borgess Half Marathon or the Kalamazoo Marathon, we applaud your efforts.
To show our pride in your commitment to your health, we offer you, on a first come first served basis, a free tech wear t-shirt to wear during your event. The shirt was designed for WMU community members only and will let those watching know that WMU supports you and is proud of you.
Race day t-shirts can be picked up from the WMU exhibit booth at the race Expo at Wings Stadium (3600 Vanrick Dr., off I94, Exit 80) on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or runners may contact Donna Marks directly, 387-2072, to pick up shirts before this date. Faculty, Staff and Students will need to show their WMU ID card and race registration form when picking up shirts. Alumni please contact Donna Marks prior to pick up.
