In 1996, Western Michigan University merged convenient location and quality education by opening a regional location along the lakeshore in Traverse City. Housed in the Northwestern Michigan College University Center, WMU-Traverse City is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.
WMU-Traverse City offers graduate degree programs, as well as graduate certificates, in the field of counseling with options in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling. Classes are scheduled during convenient times, including evenings and weekends.
