Volunteer Opportunities

Work day at the Gibbs HousePut the "we" in Wesustain by volunteering!

Seasonally, the Office for Sustainability looks for volunteers to help with Fall Welcome events, gardening and many other tasks. Volunteering provides a fun and effective opportunity to make connections and contribute to the ongoing sustainability efforts of Western Michigan University. Volunteer opportunities are scheduled when program needs match the number of volunteers available for a project. Volunteer shifts will run anywhere from one to four hours depending on the task and number of participants.

Whether you are interested in permaculture, recycling and composting, or just being involved in a community of people working to make the greater WMU area a wonderful place to live, contact us by completing the volunteer application. We look forward to working with you!
