Marvin "Geno" Milkovich, a former carpet cleaner at Western Michigan University, died Dec. 24, 2015, at home with his family by his side. He was 83.
Milkovich joined the staff in 1987 and retired in 1997 after 10 years of service to the University.
The lifelong Kalamazoo resident was a U.S. Army veteran and owned and operated Gene Steam Carpet Cleaning for many years. He left that business to work until retirement in the building and custodial support services unit of WMU's Department of Facilities Management.
