WMU trustees to discuss presidential compensation

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—A special conference call meeting of the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees has been slated for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, to discuss the compensation of WMU President John M. Dunn.

The session, which is open to the public will take place in the Connable Board Room on the second floor of the Bernhard Center. Board Chair James F. Hettinger will be present and will convene the meeting. Most other trustees will call in to participate.

Dunn has served as the University’s eighth president since July 2007. His most recent salary adjustment was effective July 1, 2014. His practice since the start of his presidency has been with each salary increase to donate back to WMU the cumulative amount of his pay increases since his 2007 starting salary of $345,000.
