KALAMAZOO--The public is invited to mix and mingle with the Western Michigan University hockey team during a campus fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in Lawson Ice Arena.

All proceeds from the event, Jingle on the Ice: Skate to Donate, will go to the Kalamazoo charity, Ministry with Community.

In addition to open ice skating with members of the hockey team, WMU's mascot Buster Bronco will be on hand to take pictures with attendees. Among the other activities planned are games, coloring and face painting.

The cost of hot chocolate, a cookie and popcorn will be included in the ticket price. Smoothies and other light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Admission to the fundraiser is $5 per person. Skates may be rented for $1 and are available in nearly all sizes.

Jingle on the Ice is being organized by communication students in WMU's Group Problem Solving class. For more information, contact classmember Alaina Bresnahan at alaina.bresnahan@wmich.edu.
