WMU still has not surpassed its $275,000 goal. According to campaign directors, a total of $259,600 in gifts and pledges has been received from 1,450 WMU donors. "I have great confidence in the people of this University," says Dr. Joe Reish, dean of University Libraries and chair of the campus United Way campaign. "I remain optimistic that we will reach our goal, and that we will have a reason to celebrate when we gather on the 18th." Although this year's campaign will officially end Friday, Nov. 12, the president's office will continue to collect donations of any amount. Employees and retirees who have not already turned in their pledge cards are encouraged to do so now. For information on making a gift, contact wmu-united-way@wmich.edu.
