Comedy 'Please Give' debuts at Little TheatreSept. 17, 2010 KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents the funny and poignant "Please Give" Friday through Sunday, Sept. 24-26, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University. Show times are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30, 5 and 7 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $5. "Please Give," starring Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt, Amanda Peet and Rebecca Hall, is about a Manhattan couple who makes a living selling the remnants of the deceased--and sometimes taking advantage of the living. The two struggle with their guilt and the need to provide for their family, all the while butting heads with their elderly neighbor and trying to raise a teenage daughter. Written and directed by Nicole Holofcener, the 2010 film is shown in English. It has a run time of 90 minutes, and is rated R for adult language, sexual content and nudity.
