Jack Culp

Jack Culp, a longtime staff member, died June 2, 2009, of cancer, it was recently learned. He was 67.

Culp became a full-time employee in 1970 and worked in what is now Facilities Management as assistant manager of electrical operations. He retired in 1998 after nearly 30 years of service to the University.

In addition, he worked out on a regular basis, and for the last 25 years of his life, did extensive lap swimming. He also was dedicated to weightlifting, which earned him multiple titles from 2002 to 2007 as the Michigan Senior Olympics Bench Press (300 lbs.) Champion.
