Students present work at English conference

Nov. 5, 2009

KALAMAZOO--More than 30 Western Michigan University students will present their original creative, scholarly and critical work at the Sigma Tau Delta English Studies Conference from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in 3025 Brown Hall. The event is open to the public free of charge.

Sponsored by WMU's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, the semiannual conference showcases the writing of WMU students, giving them the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting in front of an audience of students, faculty, staff and community members.

WMU's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta was established in 2006 with 46 charter members and has since grown to 190 active and alumni members, including 39 new members inducted in October. It has twice been recognized as an Outstanding Chapter by the national organization.

Visit Sigma Tau Delta on the Web for more information about the conference.
