Business instructor earns coveted Microsoft certification

Aug. 10, 2009

KALAMAZOO--A business instructor at Western Michigan University has earned a prestigious certification from Microsoft.

William Bonofiglo, a computer information systems instructor in the Haworth College of Business, has been awarded the Microsoft Certified Trainer title. Microsoft certified trainers are recognized by the software giant as being technical and instructional experts in Microsoft solutions and are the only individuals authorized to deliver training for Microsoft certification.

"This is a significant accomplishment for him, which will benefit our students," says Dr. Ajay Samant, interim dean for the Haworth College of Business. "We are fortunate to have Mr. Bonofiglo serve as an MCT resource in the college."

Bonofiglo had to pass three exams, two covering Dynamics CRM information and a third covering operating systems and networking. Students taking the Customer Relationship Management class this fall will benefit by having unrestricted access to the Microsoft Learning Library and will pay a reduced price for the corresponding Microsoft Certification Exam.
