Women's soccer schedule releasedJuly 23, 2009 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University and the Mid-American Conference have announced the 2009 women's soccer schedule, confirming Sunday, Aug. 16, as the University's home opener against Indiana State. Under the direction of interim head coach Suzie Grech, the Broncos will host nine games at the WMU Soccer Complex. In addition to the season opener versus Indiana State, WMU will have a home-field advantage against Marquette Sunday, Sept. 20; Toledo, defending MAC champion, Friday, Sept. 25; BGSU Sunday, Sept. 27; Akron Friday, Oct. 2; Ohio Sunday, Oct. 4; Eastern Michigan Friday, Oct. 16; conference rival Central Michigan Sunday, Oct. 18; and Northern Illinois Thursday, Oct. 29. WMU will hit the road for six-straight games, 10 total, playing at Northern Colorado Friday, Aug. 28, and University of Wyoming Sunday, Aug. 30, before heading to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the University of Northern Iowa Panther Invitational. The Broncos open the tournament against Eastern Illinois Friday, Sept. 4, and take on Northern Iowa Sunday, Sept. 6. The nonconference road schedule ends with games at Oakland Sunday, Sept. 13, and Wright State Friday, Sept. 18.
