Orchestra offers free Broadway tribute concert

KALAMAZOO--The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will pay tribute to the familiar tunes of Broadway with a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

The "Broadway Symphonic Pops" concert will include music from "The Sound of Music," "Oklahoma," "Porgy and Bess," "Chicago," "Wicked" and other celebrated shows. Conductors Bruce Uchimura and Brian Mast will share podium duties for the performance, which honors America's rich tradition of Broadway musicals.
