'Last Comic Standing' live at Miller

Dec. 11, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Enjoy an evening of stand-up comedy with the finalists from last season's "Last Comic Standing," as the official NBC tour returns by popular demand to Western Michigan University. The laughs begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Miller Auditorium.

The "Last Comic Standing Live Tour" will feature the top five finalists from the show's sixth season, which aired this summer on NBC. In addition to Marcus, Jeff Dye, Louis Ramey and Jim Tavare, the live tour will feature Iliza Shlesinger, the grand-prize winner of a $250,000 cash prize, an exclusive contract with NBC, and the coveted title of "Last Comic Standing." Watch as the troupe ignites the stage with the jokes that made them the final five in one of America's funniest reality TV shows.

Hosted by Bill Bellamy, this year's unscripted talent search sent scouts to Los Angeles; New York; Toronto; Minneapolis; Houston; Tempe, Ariz.; San Francisco; Nashville, Tenn.; and Miami. Top comedians from 20 countries, including England, Australia, Scotland, Sweden, South Africa, India, New Zealand, Norway, Japan and Israel, vied for a spot on the show.

NBC's "Last Comic Standing Live Tour" is part of the Lake Michigan Mailers Spotlight Series and is sponsored by Coca-Cola. Tickets range from $15 to $35 and are available by calling (269) 387-2300 or toll free (800) 228-9858, online at millerauditorium.com, or by visiting the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or the Epic Center Box Office in downtown Kalamazoo.
