Children's Place offering special summer programs

April 2, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Children's Place Learning Center at Western Michigan University is accepting reservations for Campus Kids Summer Theme Camp for 2008.

WMU campus community members and the general public are welcome to enroll children who have completed kindergarten, up to age 9 for weekly summer programs. Each week will feature a different theme with special interest topics from June 16 to Aug. 29. Children can be enrolled for the entire summer, or for just one or two weeks.

Children's Place Learning Center is the home base for the program, and children will participate in field trips and activities in and around the Western Michigan University campus each week. This is an excellent opportunity keep children in a learning environment while having fun on campus.

Center hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Special childcare arrangements are available before the June 16 summer program start date, and regular learning programs are available for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

Enrollment in Children's Place Learning Center starts at as little as $158 per week.

Interested parents or guardians may call (269) 387-2277, or visit Children's Place on the Web for details about each special topic week, or a registration form.
