Schedule for grant development workshops announced

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University is offering free grant development workshops through mid-April. The first workshop on Friday, Jan. 18, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Walwood Commons of Walwood Hall. Subsequent workshops will be held at the same time in the Heinig Emeriti Lounge in Walwood Hall.

Participants should bring a lunch and, when appropriate, a laptop computer.

Jan. 18, "Career Development/How to Build a Research Program" with Drs. Bill Liou and Sue Stapleton

Feb. 1, "Proposal Writing--Goals and Objectives" with Dr. Len Ginsberg

Feb. 15, "Proposal Writing--NSF/Career Awards/CCLI's" with a presenter to be announced

March 21, "Proposal Writing--Department of Education/USDA" with Dr. Mary Anne Sydlik and Gina Betcher

April 4, "Evaluation Plans for Research and Service or Training Grants" with Dr. Brooks Applegate

April 18, "Special Topics Related to 21st Century Proposals" with Dr. Mike Sharer
