Private gifts up $2 million compared to last year

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University received $6,235,735 in gifts from the July 1 start of the current fiscal year through the end of November.

The total represents an increase of $2.1 million or 52 percent over the amount received during the same five months of the previous fiscal year. It is also the largest total for gifts in the first five months of any year since 2003, which was the final year of the University's centennial capital campaign.
