Clay Aiken joins KSO for holiday concert

KALAMAZOO--American Idol and contemporary music icon Clay Aiken will visit Western Michigan University to perform holiday favorites with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Miller Auditorium.

Tickets for "Clay Aiken Christmas" at Miller Auditorium are on sale now and range from $35 to $60. Purchase tickets at (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858, online at millerauditorium.com, or by visiting the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or the Epic Center Box Office in downtown Kalamazoo. Groups of 20 or more should call (269) 387-2312 for special discounts.

Best-known for his many show-stopping live performances in concert and on television, Aiken burst onto the music scene during the second season of Fox's American Idol, claiming the number two spot. Since the finale of American Idol, Aiken has released three albums including one that reached double platinum.

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra is the third-largest professional orchestra in Michigan and is recognized throughout the country. Each season, the ensemble performs some 30 professional concerts, reaching more than 100,000 people in eight counties of Southwest Michigan. The orchestra also makes hundreds of educational and community appearances each year.
