"Last Comic Standing" stops at Miller

Nov. 2, 2007

KALAMAZOO--The top-five finalists from this season's "Last Comic Standing" will share an evening of stand-up comedy as the show's first official tour stops at Western Michigan University. The show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Miller Auditorium.

The "Last Comic Standing Live Tour" will feature finalists from the show's fifth season, which recently aired on NBC. In addition to comedians Lavell Crawford, Gerry Dee, Ralph Harris and Amy Schumer, the live tour will feature Jon Reep, the grand-prize winner of a $250,000 cash prize, an exclusive contract with NBC Universal, a half-hour comedy special on Bravo, and the coveted title of "Last Comic Standing."

Hosted by Bill Bellamy and featuring talent scouts Alonzo Bodden, Ant and Kathleen Madigan, the unscripted talent search broadened its scope this season by searching internationally for comedians. Casting calls were held in London, Montreal and Sydney, Australia, in addition to Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Tempe, Arizona.

Tickets for "Last Comic Standing Live Tour" range from $15 to $35 and are on sale now. They are available by calling (269) 387-2300 or toll free (800) 228-9858, online at millerauditorium.com, or by visiting the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or the Epic Center Box Office in downtown Kalamazoo.
