Fifty employers expected for engineering career fair

Sept. 22, 2007

KALAMAZOO--More than 50 employers will participate in Western Michigan University's 12th annual Engineering Opportunity Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Building on the Parkview Campus.

The event, which is open to the public and does not require prior registration, is intended primarily for WMU students and alumni, as well as engineering students from other local colleges.

The participating companies represent employers from across Southwest Michigan, the state and nation. They will be on hand to promote their organizations and recruit WMU candidates for fulltime, parttime, coop and internship positions.

Those attending the fair are invited to network with employers, learn about industry needs and discuss career opportunities. Employers will conduct informal interviews at the fair, and some will schedule follow-up interviews.

Students and alumni should wear business or business-casual attire and bring copies of their resumes.

For more information, visit Career and Student Employment Services at www.broncojobs.wmich.edu or call (269) 3872745 before event day.
