"Fast Food Nation" comes to Little Theatre

Feb. 6, 2007

KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents "Fast Food Nation," written and directed by Richard Linklater, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 9-11, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Little Theatre show times for "Fast Food Nation" are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, 4:30, 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 and $3 for students. The 2006 film is rated "R" for strong language, disturbing images, sexuality and drug content.

Reminiscent of the muckraking novels of the early 20th century, "Fast Food Nation" exposes the not-so-savory secrets of fast food in America. Based on the best-selling book, "Fast Food Nation" combines documentary-style storytelling with a strong ensemble cast that includes Greg Kinnear, Bruce Willis and Luiz Guzman. Not for the weak stomached, the film paints a disturbing picture of a nation that is over-fed, but under-nourished.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on WMU's historic East Campus. There is free off-street parking behind the theatre. For more information, call the movie line at (269) 387-8221, or visit KFS at www.kalfilmsociety.net.
