Evaluation Center candidates make public presentations

KALAMAZOO--Two candidates for director of the Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University will make public presentations about their visions and plans for the future of the center.

Dr. Leslie J. Cooksy will make her presentation at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in the Brown and Gold Room of the Bernhard Center. Cooksy is project director of the Tobacco Control Evaluation Center at the University of California, Davis. She received a doctorate in human service studies from Cornell University.

Dr. Timothy A. Akers will make a presentation at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, in the Brown and Gold Room of the Bernhard Center. He is assistant dean for research and graduate studies in the WellStar College of Health and Human Services at Kennesaw State University. He has doctorates from Michigan State University in resource development and urban studies.
