Open house set for Grand Rapids-area seniors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--Area high school seniors are invited to learn more about Western Michigan University and its academic offerings during an Office of Admissions open house from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the WMU-Grand Rapids Campus, Downtown, 200 Ionia Ave. SW.

The event will give high school seniors and their parents a chance to hear presentations by the University's seven degree-granting colleges, Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Education, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Fine Arts, Health and Human Services, and the Haworth College of Business.

The open house will begin with welcoming remarks and refreshments from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Following the academic presentations, students and parents will be able to talk individually with WMU representatives from the Lee Honors College and the offices of Admissions, Residence Life, and Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.

WMU is a top-100 national research university based in Kalamazoo, Mich., with branch campuses in Grand Rapids and seven other Michigan cities.
