The four-day extension is intended to give those students who received midterm grades more time to meet with their instructors and academic advisors to discuss their situations and the advisability of continuing in a particular course. Courses from which students withdraw are listed as a "W" on transcripts. If a student does not withdraw from a course by the deadline, whatever grade is earned in the course will be listed in the student's transcript and factored into the student's grade-point average. Students can withdraw from courses until Friday, Nov. 10, through the online course registration system in the Academic Services channel on the home tab of GoWMU, the University's secure intranet portal. Questions about how to withdraw from a course may be directed to the Registrar's Office at registrar-info@wmich.edu or (269) 387-4300.
