WMU offices closed Independence Day

KALAMAZOO--Except for essential and emergency services, Western Michigan University offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of U.S. Independence Day.

Listed below are Independence Day weekend hours for selected university offices and services. Faculty, students and the public are encouraged to call ahead to make sure that a particular office on campus is open. For emergencies only, contact WMU Public Safety at (269) 387-5555.

Admissions office is closed Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 3, and closed Tuesday, July 4.

Bernhard Center is open normal building hours Saturday, Sunday and Monday, July 1-3, and closed Tuesday, July 4.

Computer lab in the Bernhard Center is closed Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 3, and closed Tuesday, July 4; computer lab in UCC is open Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., open Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and open Tuesday, noon to 5 p.m.

Student Recreation Center is closed Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 3, and closed Tuesday, July 4.

Sindecuse Health Center, including the pharmacy, is closed Saturday and Sunday, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 3, and closed Tuesday, July 4. Medical emergencies should be referred to local hospitals or other health care providers.

Waldo Library is open normal hours Saturday, Sunday and Monday, July 1-3, and closed Tuesday, July 4.

West Hills Athletic Club is open reduced hours, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2; open 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 3, and closed Tuesday, July 4.
