WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Concert Band performs Tuesday in MillerFeb. 20, 2005 KALAMAZOO--The University Concert Band presents its first concert of the new year Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 8:15 p.m. in Miller Auditorium on the campus of Western Michigan University. The concert is free and open to the public. The concert will feature works by some of the more prominent composers of the 20th century. Works on the program include "Suite Francaise" by Darius Milhaud, "George Washington Bridge" by William Schuman, "Pageant" by Vincent Persichetti, and "British Eighth" by Alonzo Elliott. Membership in the University Concert Band is not limited to music majors and includes students from a wide variety of fields of study. The group is conducted by David W.
