WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS WMUK fall fund-raiser goal is $210,000Oct. 15, 2004 KALAMAZOO--Public radio station WMUK 102.1 FM at Western Michigan University kicks off the on-air portion of its annual fall fund-raising drive Saturday, Oct. 16. The station is out to repeat last year's success, by raising the same amount--$210,000--with an Oct. 16-22 phone marathon. Station personnel have been working for several weeks to raise pledges during the quiet portion of its campaign and brought in more than $75,000 prior to the on-air portion of the effort. The drive will stop as soon as the goal is reached. New this year is an online option for making a gift or pledge that allows station supporters to immediately see the impact of their gift included in the campaign total.
