GC II spring concert features variety of tunes

KALAMAZOO--Vocal jazz ensemble GC II presents its spring concert Thursday, April 8, at 8:15 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. The free performance is open to the public.

Under the direction of Kelly Ann Westgate, GC II will perform a variety of music ranging from Earth, Wind and Fire and Manhattan Transfer to Irving Berlin. Many students will be featured in small ensembles, as will the GC II Band. Dynamic GC II will keep your toes tapping to tunes such as "Cheek to Cheek," "Java Jive," "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and a funk version of "Summertime."
