Renata Knific releases first crossover CD

KALAMAZOO--Internationally renowned violinist Renata Artman Knific has released her first crossover jazz CD, "West of Everywhere," representing years of musical collaborations.

"West of Everywhere" includes performances by American music greats Sir Roland Hanna, Gene Bertoncini, John Abercrombie, Billy Hart, Andy LaVerne, Billy Drewes, Jamey Haddad, and others. Selections include a series of originals written for this project and choice jazz standards. Sir Roland Hanna contributes romantic, lyrical tone poems. Bassist, composer, and producer Tom Knific offers joyous Latin inspired selections and the exotic "Belvoir" for violin and world percussion.
