Sister Hazel and Blessid Union of Souls at WMU

Oct. 3, 2001

KALAMAZOO -- As part of this year's Homecoming Festivities, Western Michigan University's Campus Activities Board and Miller Auditorium present a special concert on Friday, Oct.12 at 8 p.m. The featured groups for the evening are Sister Hazel and Blessid Union of Souls.

The opening act for the concert will be the winner of CAB Battle of the Bands. Following the yet to be determined band will be Blessid Union of Souls, a quintet whose breakthrough #1 hit ballad "I Believe" propelled their album to go Platinum. They followed the success with a fun single that captures the high energy of their live shows, "Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me for Me)."

The closing act for the evening is Sister Hazel, a five-member group from Gainesville, Fla. Though most recently known for their popular single "Change Your Mind," the group first came into focus in 1997 with one of the songs played most on radio that year, "All for You."

Tickets for the event are on sale at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office. Ticket prices range from $25 to $35 and WMU students with valid IDs can receive $5 off per ticket (Limit 2).

The concert is sponsored by WKFR 103.3 FM.
