All applicants to the blindness of low vision studies graduate programs at Western Michigan University must have completed a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university and must meet the qualifications for WMU graduate admissions.
To apply to a graduate program, students must complete the one-page graduate student application and the departmental application. The departmental application includes a resume, two copies of transcripts, a personal and professional goals statement, and three reference forms completed by individuals familiar with the applicant's professional skills.
Based on a review of the application material, program admissions committees will accept or decline an applicant or may invite selected applicants for interviews.
Upon admission, each student is assigned an advisor who will assist in preparing a permanent program of study. The program of study must be completed during the first semester or session of enrollment.
