Western Michigan University's Office of University Relations is responsible for a wide variety of marketing, creative and electronic media. We also establish Universitywide standards and guidelines for all internal and external communication.

University relations serves as the primary source for the dissemination of University news to campus outlets as well as local, state and national media. We are responsible for the University’s Web presence and other electronic communications, including the University's social media channels. Our office manages the WMU brand, visual identity program, oversees marketing research and produces the WMU Magazine.
We also are responsible for all WMU communication, both internal and external, in the event of a University closing or campus emergency.

Visual Identity Program
This Visual Identity Program is designed to be flexible enough to meet the needs of Western Michigan University and its multiple audiences, while creating a strong brand presence for the University in the higher education marketplace. The campus community’s enthusiastic application of these guidelines is integral to building public awareness of the University’s prestige and support of its mission.
