The First-Year Experience Student Leader Application:

Any candidate interested in either the Fall Welcome Ambassador (first-time or returning) or First-Year Seminar Co-Facilitator (first-time or returning) positions must complete the Office of Student Transitions Student Leader Application and include a current resume along with the names and email addresses of two references.
Applicants will be contacted within a week of completing the application to make interview arrangements if needed. This includes both first-time and returners.
Anyone interested in applying for the one of the positions noted above msut complete the online application. As part of the online application process, applicants will be asked to submit a resume. The resume must contain the following information, at a minimum, name, phone number, local address, previous schools (if you transferred to WMU), academic status (FR, SOPH, etc.), major(s) and minor(s), cumulative WMU GPA (after fall 2017 semester), honors and awards, and any leadership organizations, positions, and job experience (volunteer and paid) that will benefit you in one of the Student Transitions Student Leadership Positions.
For assistance with completing a resume, Career and Student Employment Services has a number of resources available including the Career Resource Guide and the Career Zone. In addition, the Haworth College of Business can offer assistance through the Zhang Career Center.
Applicants will need the name and email addresses of two references who can speak to the applicants’ leadership skills.
THE APPLICATION CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED ONE TIME AND MUST BE COMPLETED IN ONE SITTING. BE SURE TO HAVE THE RESUME AND EMAIL ADDRESSES AND NAMES OF TWO REFERENCES AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME.
