Our Cars

Sunseeker has a rich history of building solar cars. Here you can find information regarding many of our past and present vehicles.

The 2016 car marks the return of both the number 786 and a four-wheeled layout. This vehicle has competed in two Formula Sun Grand Prix races. We intend to have it fully functioning for the 2018 Formula Sun Grand Prix and American Solar Challenge.

Sunseeker 1995

The 1995 car is the longest lasting solar car produced by the team. It still exists today, and can usually be seen on display at the Air Zoo in Portage, Michigan. (Except for a couple months of the year when the team uses it for special events.)
