Reading Horizons: A Journal of Literacy and Language Arts

Reading Horizons was first published in 1960 by Dorothy J. McGinnis as a local reading education newsletter and developed into an open-access research journal with a wide international readership that has reached over two million downloads. Our quarterly journal publishes new and current research-based and empirical studies that contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the field of language arts and literacy education. As a rigorous peer-reviewed publication, Reading Horizons endeavors to share timely and high quality research with school professionals, literacy researchers, teacher educators, parents and community leaders.
