summer I

The summer I session starts today at 8 a.m. Students have until the end of the day Friday to add or drop a summer I course. The official census count will be taken at the end of the day on Monday, May 15. Please make every effort to ensure that all students attending summer I courses are registered in Banner so they can accurately be reflected in our census counts.

Waitlist

Waitlist notification will be turned off Thursday morning for the summer I session. Any student remaining on a waitlist will be removed Friday afternoon. If you would like to print a list of students waitlisted in a section prior to Friday, you can do so in Banner on the SFAWLPR form.

room scheduling migration

As a reminder, our room scheduling software (Resource25) will be migrated next week to 25Live. The migration will interrupt room scheduling for the week. All requests for Summer I should be addressed by this Friday. Sections change forms received after Friday will be processed after June.

new request to walk form

In response to the increasing number of requests we have been receiving from students who want to walk in commencement at a time other than their scheduled time, we have developed a new form to help manage the process.

Starting with June commencement, students requesting permission to participate in commencement outside of their actual graduation term will need to submit a Request to Participate form to the Registrar’s Office at least 30 days prior to the commencement they are requesting to attend.

The form is available on the Registrar’s Office website and can be found on the student link under forms.  Submission of a request does not guarantee the student will be approved to participate.  Approval will be granted based on seating availability.  Please note, students may request to participate in a commencement ceremony that is one semester prior to their planned graduation term or no more than one year after their actual graduation term.

Fact of the Week

Fourteen April 2017 graduates are among the first to receive the WMU Signature designated on their transcript and diploma.  The WMU Signature Program's pilot started fall 2016.
