Don’t forget, midterm grades can now be submitted through D2L. Additional information on midterm grading, as well as instructions on how to submit midterm grades via Elearning, can be found on the Registrar's Office website.

Report student academic concerns

Next Monday, March 21 is the last day students can withdraw from a spring semester course. It is important that we make every effort this week to reach out to students who are not attending class or who are not performing well. The Report Student Academic Concern link is provided on the faculty menu in GoWMU for instructors to report an academic concern, excessive absences or missing multiple assignments.

Re-authorization

As a reminder, all users will need to complete the re-authorization process by tomorrow, March 15. Student employees will not have access to the Faculty/Staff Home tab in GoWMU, however a re-authorization link is provided for them on the Student Home tab under View/Update My Personal Information. Supervisors will have until the end of the day on Thursday, March 17 to process approvals for their employees. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar’s Office.

Authorized user

Proxy Access was implemented in October to provide students with the ability to grant third party access to their academic and financial aid information. Access to this information was previously done through Authorized User (TouchNet), however, they are no longer supporting this WMU customization.

Both Authorized User and Proxy Access have been operating in parallel since October to give students and third party users time to transition to the new system. Last week access to academic and financial aid information was removed from TouchNet. Access to academic and financial aid information is now only available through Proxy Access.

The Authorized User option for students to grant access to view their account information and to make payments will continue.  This will require students to grant access in both systems. Authorized User for payment and account information; Proxy Access for academic and financial aid information.

Anyone with access to Banner can see who a student set up as a proxy and what access they have been given on the GPAPRXY form. Additional information on Authorized User and Proxy Access can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.
