Handling customer service and sales for personal, commercial, and municipal insurance clients, finding the best fit and coverage for each client.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging yet rewarding part of my job, is educating people about what they are buying. Insurance can be a complex product, but guiding someone through the purchase of it to make them feel comfortable and confident in their decisions is very rewarding.
Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?
I would have to say a skill that has impacted my career the most is the ability to comfortably speak with, meet with, and connect with new acquaintances whether in business or not. Being comfortable in those situations has opened many doors and given me numerous opportunities.
What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?
Pursuing a career in finance/insurance, I feel having experience in the field is extremely beneficial. Whether that means an internship, job-shadowing or a entry level job, getting to know the day-to-day experiences and relationships can really help you know if this is a good fit for what you want your career to be.
