Western News is the newspaper for and about Western Michigan University faculty and staff. The Office of University Relations publishes the paper every other Thursday—if classes are in session—during WMU's fall and spring semesters and summer I session.
Publication dates for 2018-19 are: Aug. 30, Sept. 13 and 27, Oct. 11 and 25, Nov. 8, Dec. 6, Jan. 10 and 24, Feb. 7 and 21, March 14 and 28, April 11, May 9 and 23, and June 6 and 20. Western News will be on summer hiatus starting June 21 and resume publication Aug. 29 for the 2019-20 production year.
The deadline for submitting items for inclusion in an issue is 5 p.m. Friday the week preceding an issue's scheduled publication date.
